Ok when I said "might make this draft" I meant to say something to the effect of "it won't be as bad as it sounds after not signing Aiken." Poor choice of words lol
I don't either, but I wonder if he might be getting DFA'd. The team will need to remove 2 players from their 40-man today. But then again, he probably wouldn't mention Arizona Fall League if that were the case. Until the minor league season is over, there is no reason to get mad about not being added to the active roster.
Interesting. Also didn't realize their season was over, having just missed the postseason. He also retweeted:

No Sept call up @Rudy_Owens ? He should be cautious... Cosart speaks up, gets traded. Folty speaks up, and he's called up but never used (almost worse). Hader speaks up, and they put a hex on his arm that causes him to struggle initially. Porter speaks up, and get's Portered.
I will not be surprised if Owens is traded in the offseason. The tell was not Owens's comments, but the fact he is on the 40 man roster and not a September callup. Owens is not in the future plans for the Houston Astros.
Joseph Fisher just homered. Al Skorupa is part of the Baseball Prospectus team.

Fisher (HOU's 1st rd) hit a rocket that was still rising as it hit a pole well abv the wall. Anyone have thoughts on Tyler White? Haven't seen him talked about much, but he's put up monster stats this year (OPS over .900 so far in his minor league career). Saw he can play 3B and 1B - can he stick at third? Seems like the major league club could use his bat if he keeps it up.
Seems like an exaggeration. If it was still rising then it stands to reason the overall distance of the homer would be somewhere close to twice the distance it had traveled when it hit that pole. Which means it would be like a 600+ ft homer. There's no way.
He was a 33rd round pick, so he really wasn't viewed as much of a prospect. He's about to turn 24, and still in A+ ball, which is a little old, although not inordinately so. But his numbers are undeniably attention grabbing, particularly that 1 to 1 K/BB ratio and that .410 OBP. He's behind JD Davis on the A+ ball prospect pecking order, so I'm guessing he will spend more time at DH. Neither one of them seem like a 3B long term. He could go to AA, but there he is certainly gonna be behind Rio Ruiz at 3rd. He's certainly become a guy worth watching.
Interesting that nothing much has been said about the massive PCL shakeup that's about to happen. Stros in ABQ, the AAA version of Lancaster? ... or in Fresno with the crappiest facilities in AAA? If anyone knows, I'd be curious: is any team for sale other than OKC?
