Ryan Mallett Not at Practice: Personal Issue with Bill O'Brien

Wouldn't be surprised if things got a little heated and BOB told him to take a day off to clear his head.

Hopefully this will all be a good thing and push Mallett to do some good things if/when he's called upon.

 

I thought it was all about the TEAM. Maybe bob shouldn't be airing dirty laundry and follow his own advice.

 

Very interested to see how much of this personal issue was caught by Hark Knocks cameras.

Hearing Mallet on the radio, you could tell he wasn't happy at all and now the rage has set in the day after...hope he picks himself up tho but u gotta think he's thinking there goes my shot to be a starter .

 

I see the team is trying to break Hard Knocks viewing records. Gotta be #1 at something.

 

Mallett should be mad at himself. He lost the job.

 

not the patriots way. hoodie would have cut him 20 minutes ago. cut mallet.

 

If it's a personal issue between BOB and Mallett, maybe BOB just told him to take a day off and chill. Let the decision sink in for a day.

The idea that Mallet wasn't motivated until now is weird.

 

Part of the reason he got hurt last year was that he was TOO motivated and hit the weights too hard.

Can't say it will happen for certain, but Mallett's got as good a chance as any other backup to eventually start this season. He needs to get his **** together so he can be ready when the time comes. Whatever happened to make him miss practice (his own decision or forcing Bob's hand) isn't going to help his cause.
