I like that they're giving him the entire game. The more mental reps the better for him, and with the extended playing time we'll get to see how he can overcome having to play with inferior players. If he's developed like we hope, he still shouldn't have trouble lighting up the other team. Let's just hope our backup o-line doesn't get him killed/hurt.

Let's hope he doesn't get hurt. It will be interesting how they split the RB carries.

Makes sense, he's completely expendable and he needs the experience and snaps. You don't want him to get hurt, but if he gets hurt....meh.

I think the only RBs to get snaps would be Hilliard and Polk. Probably James too. Blue shouldn't get any, and if Grimes does, It'll be very short lived. He and Blue had only 11 carries each for the 3rd pre-season game. Basically starter reps. So I think they come into this game wanting to keep those guys away from action so they stay healthy.

Where do you get expendable from? It really is to get him in rhythm and full game experience while also having one QB leading the calls with all of the other offensive players that are on the roster bubble (53 and the PS). OB is trying to give a fair shake to everyone competing and versus changing QBs, let's see who can support one the best for the whole game.

He's the 3rd QB...that guy is the most expendable QB on the roster. You don't want to put either of the first 2 guys at risk, so you play the 3rd guy all game.

He's only expendable if Keenum is available.

Keenum locked down the backup job in St Louis, he won't be available.....but the Texans 3rd string QB is still the most expendable QB on the roster, and that's why they are putting him out there all game long in the 4th preseason game. No reason to risk getting anyone else hurt.

I'm guessing that means Mallett plays the back half of the game? I wouldn't think Savage would play the whole game, but I guess he could. Mallett better wake up or he's going to lose his backup job too

No, Savage is playing the whole game, they don't want to risk having either their first or second string QB's injured.

I think EZ has a shot at that 6th WR spot, I like Bullough....but I don't think he has the athleticism they need so who knows?
