Would love to see a poll about Cush.

Cushing's best year was his alleged performance enhanced rookie season. He still had a very solid 2nd and 3rd year but only played in 12 of 34 games in his 4th and 5th season.

Now, his recovering knee is keeping him out of another game. Will Cushing ever get back to his old self or will injuries haunt him his whole career?

There are some things, that once it's gone, it ain't never coming back.

You could have asked the same question last year... and yet the Texans extended him anyways.

I voted yes, but honestly that's more hope than anything. It wouldn't be unheard of if he did return to form, but the odds aren't good.

Poll should've had more options than a simple yes or no. He can never return to his original form and still be effective.

I voted "no", but think he can still be effective. It likely won't be until next season.

I think he should take off the rest of this season and just hope for the best next year. It's possible for him to get back to being a good player, but he needs a lot of time to recover, he looks like he can't even run anymore

Hoping it's like Demeco's injury where it takes him a year after coming back to get his burst back. The pessimist in me votes no though.

The biggest thing for me is pursuit. He always seemed to be where the ball was. His instincts should return but the physical first move is what I don't think he will ever get back. I'm sure he can still hit but I don't think you'll see him in position to get the main hit on the sidelines like we used to see.

    Hope we're all wrong though.

Dent has played better today than Cushing has all season... the defense is "better" without this Brian Cushing right now.

no denying this. granted it's against a horrible offense, but cushing offers nothing at this point.

Bad knees on a inside linebacker no good.

Honestly Mo and Dent were miles better today than Cush has been all year. Hopefully Cush keeps sitting so that his knee can "heal".

it's nothing like demeco's knee injury.

demeco ruptured his patella tendon. cushing tore two acl's and broke one of his knees. additionally, cushing has been busted for PED's.

patella tendons take way longer to come back from than acl's, cushing's legs are simply worn down and busted from a combination of injuries and perhaps steroid use.
