    Injury Bug

Oct. 28 - The Rockets added to their growing list of injuries today when Glen Rice went down during practice with a knee injury. The severity of the injury is not known at this time. With Terence Morris and Kenny Thomas already sidelined and Maurice Taylor set to miss the first five games of the season, the team is thinning out quickly up front. With the season just two days away, it looks like rookies Yao Ming and Bostjan Nachbar will be receiving more minutes than expected as the season gets underway.

So Tierre is the odd man? Too bad, I think he clearly outplayed Tito this preseason...

Tito will live on the IR... I suspect that is why he was signed early. Beccause he agreed he would have no problem being injured the whole season... And I think once TMo is healthy Hawkins will be next

Holly crap. That clip of Ming in practice was incredible. His jumper is deadly from 15-20 feet. His shot is perfect!

Yao actually makes 12 out of 16 but it is still very impressive. He misses the first two shots on the clip, and also at the very end. But he does hit 12 out of 13 in the middle of the short clip and you can see the Big Man has some great touch from medium range!

The more minutes Boki can get the better...

This is the last year on Rice's contract right?

He has an amazing touch. It is obviously better then Cato's shoot, lol.

Ming shoots like a SG with that catch and shoot motion.

Yeah, and the thing is that he is 7-5 so he will get his shot off easily.

He is a shooting guard in a 7-5 body. It can't get much better then that. :)

I wonder if Shaq can shoot like that. IF Yao can be half as dominant as Shaq in the paint, Yao will Kick some serious glutimus maximus. He'll be a very verstile center.

What's there to wonder? Of course he can't. I'd be surprised if he shot more than 1-13 from that range on catch-and-shoots.

Then again, Yao Ming has a long ways to go before he's even "half" as dominant as Shaq in the paint.

How long will TMo be out? Too bad for Hawkins, he will develop some injury when TMo comes back. I really like Hawkins' game. I guess that is a good problem to have. We will have a player in IR that deserves to play. :)
