Probably a long shot at this point but if we do acquire another scorer and legit PG like Dragic then I would expect Ariza to put up numbers similar to last year. We don't need him to handle the ball or create. If he has to create or be expected to handle the load on offense then God help us.

That's why his nickname around the league is 'contract year.'

But it also means he's got it in him, it's just mental and if we have a coach who would lit his ass up and keep him accountable, we can have contract year Ariza every year.

It doesn't seem like a myth anymore. He's shooting worse than 08-09 Ariza

It's Patrick Beverley that needs replacing, though I woouldn't complain If Papa and KJ got some significant looks from the coaches.

Then obviously this season is an anomaly. He hasn't played as bad this year as other non contract years...

He is just not good on offense. He is a great defender, but terrible on the bounce or trying to create.

If someone could stop him from doing too much his efficiency will rise.

when you have no one else other than Harden who creates offense can you blame Ariza for trying? Someone has to do it. You can't rely on Harden every single time.

Yes, I can anyway. He's simply not capable of it so he should know to get the ball into the hands of someone more competent....which is pretty much anyone else. Ariza should never dribble the ball more than once or twice ever. He's a 3 point shooter and nothing else on offense.

Did you guys watch the game last night? Instead of driving into the lane or shooting the open 3, Ariza either passes it or takes a couple steps forward for the jumper!

I hated it when he passed up a wide-open 3 on a kick-out last night.

Good players stay within themselves, Ariza is not a good player.

He tries to do too much. He can't dribble (we knew that), can't pass (we knew that), can't shoot accurately (we knew that). That is a lot to overcome with good defense. Any questions?

He's the small forward version of Beverley. He tries to do things he has no business doing, and it hurts the team. I mean...has he had a solid day offensively since November?

A $950k Parsons looks pretty damn appealing right now.
