Ewing's been an assistant for over a decade. He deserves a shot.

Plausible. He has deep coaching roots. His court improvement would lead one to believe he can apply the knowledge. And Yao did improve all the way to the Hall of Fame. So there's legit street cred. But Sacramento is a loss. Nobody succeeds there.

He looks like an alcoholic or something with those eyes.

I remember back when he played, whenever he was on the bench in a suit due to injury, he always had a briefcase. Why? What was in that briefcase? Clearly, he was already working on his schemes for future coaching jobs!

He's still reading the million page scouting report from 94 that was put together covering the entirety of Hakeem's moves.

Breh has been on the sidelines since 1984 it seems. Such a long time, yet still no HC job. I wonder what happened behind the scenes, or what teams know that we don't.

I bet Yao would be a better coach.

    Repped!

Besides, it might take someone bigger that him for Cousins to show some respect to.

Ewing should be given a chance to coach, but the Kings are so bad...Ewing may be setup to fail already. I hope he does well as a coach.

I don't have anything to say about him as a coach. I remember meeting Ewing about 10 years ago when I worked as a server. That guy is super cheap and tip me 10% on a 250 bill. He ordered a beer, drink half of it and wanted a replacement beer because it was not ice cold.

Ewing has given us 2 of the most memorable quotes in NBA history

On the 1998-99 lockout "we make a lot of money, but we spend a lot too"

During the gold club trial "The girls danced, started fondling me, I got aroused, they performed oral sex. I hung around a little bit and talked to them, then I left."

McHale, Ewing... it's obvious they're not looking to rid themselves of Cousins.

Watching him in Charlotte...I think this dude honestly deserves a shot. He could build a defense.

In all honesty if it's between Ewing and getting back for the 23423409th time with my ex girlfriend Lionel Hollins, I'd pick the former.
