I'll never forget him picking up his welfare check in a limo on MTV.

There will never be another ODB.

Wow...I remember seeing a pic of him from about ten years ago and he was significantly thinner. Possible weight-related problems?

Well, I'm only guessing he's smoked a bit less crack in recent years.

He complained about chest pains before he collapsed.

    Heart condition, crappy lifestyle?

    ODB lived life.

"He was arrested several more times the following year for various charges, including threatening bouncers at the House of Blues in Los Angeles and for lounging on his balcony in the nude in Berlin, Germany. No charges were filed in that case.

Later that year, he was arrested and charged with attempted murder, after police claimed he jumped out of his car and started shooting at them. Those charges were dismissed when the police failed to present credible evidence.

In October of 2000, the rapper was almost finished a stint in rehab when he made a run for it, spending a month as a fugitive, during which time he performed at the Hammerstein Ballroom in front of hundreds of stunned fans.

He left the premise that evening but was captured a short time later in Philadelphia, singing autographs in a McDonald's parking lot."

    Only ODB. RIP

Your're right man, ODB LIVED his life. These young rappers these days are too worried about their bling and how much money they have. However, ODB is the best example of "when keeping it real goes wrong..."

damn. :( lil' baby jesus aka dirt mcgirt aka odb. sad day in hiphop. some rappers have their own particular style, but odb's style wasn't particular to even himself because you never knew what he was going to do next. brooklyn zoo is sheading a tear.

rest in peace to the dude who liked it raw and got burnt by gonorrhea. :(

Dude... that is just stupid. Guess he wasn't "clean" after all. Because, sadly, I don't know why else you would swallow a plastic bag of something. Maybe he didn't mean for it to get where it couldn't get back out. Still, a stupid move, as you see by what happened. Sad.
