    If that was the case, then T.I. would have showed up to perform the Three Kings song with Bun-B, and Slim Thug in last season's NBA play-offs during halftime like Morey originally wanted.

    Josh Powell's best years were with the Lakers though. He was a decent backup in them Kobe/Gasol championship years. Him and Turiaf were decent backup forwards on the Lakers. Both became terrible after leaving the Lakers.

    JVG, SVG, and Thibs never played in the NBA. I don't think the Van Gundy brothers ever played in college. Still pretty good coaches.

    If JP becomes a coach and if there becomes a need late in the year for a b/u 5 then the gent is in shape and with the program. Good insurance IMO.

    the argument that you guys make saying Josh Powell wasn't a great player therefore he can't be a good coach is completely backwards.

    he made it into the nba for a reason, and that reason obviously wasn't his scoring or offensive prowess. players like him have to make up for that with their understanding of the game and bball IQ because they can't get by on their natural talent. its like brian scalabrine
