It was closer this time but it looks like Clutchfans is sticking with Coleman as the 1st round pick. Last mock, we picked Hunter Henry as the 2nd round pick.

Since the voting is so close for the 1st round, I'll include WRs in round 2 as well. Who do you think the Texans will pick in the 2nd round?

Other options that I couldn't fit into the poll:

    Vernon Butler, DT, Louisiana Tech
    Vonn Bell, S, Ohio State
    Emmanuel Ogbah, DE, Oklahoma Stat
    Su'a Cravens, LB/S, USC
    Hunter Henry, TE, Arkansas

This starts to get difficult quickly, because so much depends on who is going to be already chosen, and one can imagine massively different scenarios over who will still be available. I mean, I'm pretty sure there are probably about 35 - 45 players that the Texans would take before the guy they are going to actually end up taking if they hadn't already been chosen by the time #52 comes around.

It also depends on correctly guessing what position they draft in the first. I'm pretty sure they aren't going to double down on a player that plays the same position as whomever it is they take in the 1st.

    My whacky left field guess:

I'm beginning to think A'Shawn Robinson is going to drop like a rock and might be available there. Texan Devon Still was in a very similar place in 2011 - potentially a mid first round pick - and he fell to #53 for a variety of reasons. Robinson has no pass rush technique, played an extremely limited number of snaps at Alabama, apparently has been interviewing poorly, and people are questioning how much he really wants to play football. My guess is A'Shawn Robinson.

For you, it's an assumed 1 vote.

    I thought Martin was a first-rounder?

You're thinking of the Notre Dame tackle, Ronny Stanley.

Well, that's kind of interesting, then, because I don't think that more than a minority view him as a solid first rounder.

For instance, I just checked the mock drafts at NFL.com. Only 1 of their 5 so called "experts" has him in their 1st round mock draft. At CBSsports.com, it's 2 of 5.

I would absolutely love to get Nick Martin, it would have to be a fall to get him.

    You never know.

    Edited to add:

If Coleman was the first round pick like this game said why would be draft Miller or Shepard???

I'm not going by that. Obviously that would change things.

Ideally, for me, we'd get a defensive or offensive lineman in the first, and a receiver in the second. Possibly even trading back in the first for another third.

Don't recall the details, but, apparently, two teams have C as their top need. Of course, I also read there are 4 C's in this draft good enough to start in the NFL, so that affects things.

    http://www.rotoworld.com/recent/cfb/132189/ryan-kelly

ESPN's Mel Kiper ranks Alabama C Ryan Kelly as the No. 18 overall prospect.
Rotoworld's Josh Norris is right there with him in ranking Kelly as a top-20 prospect. "Easily the top center in the draft," Kiper wrote. "While you don't usually expect to take a center so high, here's a case where you can and plug in a solid starter." NFL Media's Daniel Jeremiah calls Kelly a Pro-Bowler in the making.
