With 10 secs left in the game against Utah, and with one more chance to get the crowd Big-Macs, Van gundy did it again. He found a way to dissapoint an arena full of fans. He did not want to piss of Jerry Sloan by running up the score, but felt content with pissing off the fans. He ordered the players to not try to get the crowd their much deserved Big-Macs. We may be winning again, but I still hate Van Stumpy.
Jerry Sloan would've been pissed if the Rockets shot the ball at the end. Wasn't it Bob Sura who tried to get an illegitimate triple double last season against the Jazz? I remember Sloan wasn't too happy after that game.
Remember that the fans are the reason anybody in the NBA is getting a paycheck. The fans were demanding Big-Macs, and they got robbed! Anyone that gets mad because of a shot attempt to please an arena full of fans can kiss my a$$. Sportsmanship or no sportsmanship!
As someone said before, its a $1.99 sandwich. If a fan lets the loss of a big mac spoil his/her enjoyment of a very nice 19 point win, then i feel sorry for them.
If that arena full of fans had the money to buy tickets they should have had the cash to buy freaking 2 dollar hamburger.
Let's see: 100 points gets everyone a Big Mac. Somebody tells the Rockets not to bust 100. The owner's wife is an animal rights activist. I'm just sayin'.
So what. T-shirts cost $5 bucks, but it still causes fans to be happy when they get one tossed to them at a game. It's the pricipalities Smokey. It ended the experience for the fans on a sour note.
Y'all need to find something relevent to b**** and moan about especially after a NINETEEN point win. An impressive win at that. And what is the price of food at Toyota Center again? Y'all would shell out that much money for food at a game but can't put out couple of dollars for a bigmac?
This thread is funny! We have a blowout win against Jazz and we are discussing about the freaking Big-Mac!
Those are given out at games and are, in some minds, more looked as being a souvenir. A big mac lasts what, 45 seconds to the average Houstonian?
