    Wow...

Didn't see this posted, and can't wait. I loved this movie.

Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels to star in Dumb & Dumber sequel

Filmmaker Peter Farrelly has confirmed plans to begin shooting a Dumb & Dumber sequel in September.

Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels have signed up to reprise their roles as two intellectually-challenged pals in a follow-up to their hit 1994 comedy.

And Farrelly, who will direct with his brother Bob again, insists Carrey was a driving force behind the new movie.

He tells ComingSoon.net, “We’re getting set to shoot Dumb And Dumber 2 in September. It’s the first sequel we’ve ever done and we’ve got Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels back…

“We’ve always wanted to do a sequel and Jim called up. Jeff always wanted to do it. We always wanted to do it. Jim was busy, but he called and said, ‘We’ve got to do this thing again.’ He had just watched Dumb And Dumber and he said, ‘This is the perfect (time for a) sequel. Let’s do it.’”

Farrelly also distanced himself from the the 2003 prequel Dumb And Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd, which did not feature either of the original stars, adding, “We did not do Dumb And Dumberer. That was a studio thing.”

This is awesome news. Now, if they would only get The Dude back in a sequel.

Creating crappy sequels to movies that are well past the expiration date for relevant follow-ups is one of the worst things going on in Hollywood. That, along with "rebooting" franchises every 8 years.

I agree, but it's not like Hollywood has a great success rate making original stuff. Hollywood just blows no matter what they do.

Dumb and Dumber is my all time favorite comedy. I refused to see the crappy prequel, but I will for sure see this... I just hope it doesn't kill the original for me.

Definitely will see this. Never saw the prequel...looked awful. But when they bring back the original actors...... I watch.

I'm with you. I just don't see how this would be bad having the original crew back together.
