Even if they couldnt sign Love they had a gazillion PFs on the squad, starting with Lebron, Matrix, Varejao and finally Tristan Thompson.

It was a stupid move through and through.

"It was great to see and be around my brothers again," Love told Northeast Ohio Media Group late Wednesday*evening. "I wanted to be here for Monday's game, but I still had to deal with some stuff at the hospital [in New York]. I'm glad I was able to come tonight, though."

"Love joined his team on the bench midway through the second quarter, sling and all. Shortly after, his image was shown on the Jumbotron, and The Q detonated with cheers. Love had to stand up and give a wave. You could tell he was touched by the crowd's gesture.

"It was amazing," Love said. "I loved it. These are some great fans."

Love or Aldridge to Houston next year. Morey's going to repeat what he did last offseason and sacrifice everything to free cap space. Bank on it.

Kevin Love is out for the season following shoulder surgery and is expected to become a free agent this summer.

Love had an uneven first season with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

"Every executive I talk to, every agent I talk to, every quasi insider, every girlfriend's cousin's sister's boyfriend all says this guy is out of there," said Windhorst.

"I hear the same thing from everybody," said Lowe. "From everyone that is two or three or four steps removed. I don't quite believe all of that."

    "I agree," replied Windhorst.

"Part of what's going on there is the Lakers' boogeyman," said Lowe. "They don't just say he's out of there, they say 'He's going to the Lakers.' That has much to do with the fear people have of the Lakers as it does with Kevin Love."

"I can't get a read on Kevin," said Windhorst. "His personality is a little bit different than many players I've covered. He has at every turn even gone out of his way to make statements about how he intends to remain in Cleveland."

Windhorst has also mentioned that Love has seemed distant from the Cavaliers post-surgery, attending just one game. Love is unable to fly yet following the surgery.

really? I think after the finals appearance and the season ending surgery he would stay for one more year at least...but then again Windhorst talks a lot of bull****.

Love has always seemed like a bit of a weird duck to me. Can't quite put my finger on it.

Would not be surprised at all if he leaves. Or stays.

Imagine the Cavs lose in the Finals, Kevin Love walks away in free agency, the Wiggins trade becomes the new Harden trade - gave up a future franchise player for a one-year rental who never played past the first round. Would LeBron consider bolting, again? That would high drama.

He can become the king of LA. No way in hell he sticks around in Ohio

No. LeBron's fingerprints were all over that trade. He and Love developed a rapport during their time with Team USA. Notice that in LeBron's "I'm Coming Home" letter, he specifically mentioned Kyrie Irving, Tristan Thompson, Varejao and even Dion Waters. He excluded Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett for a reason.

well he is supposed to be a loner who rather stay home than go out and doesn't like socialising with the rest of his teammates. While Lebron wants all the team to be together and follow him. That would explain the rift.
On the other hand I don't think that an invert loner person would force his way to LA of all places.

There are some people who think that Love is rooting against the Cavs because he doesn't like if they win without him, makes him feel more unappreciated...I have difficulty believing this but who knows what ego he really has.

If Love ends up in the Lakers Randle will be traded most likely. I wouldn't be surprised if they will try to offer him to Washington for Beal (lol) or to a s+t for buttler. Can't think of anything else at the moment. Maybe to Suns for Bledsoe?

There is ZERO chance that Julius randle can be traded for either of those guys, not even close

Love and Okafor would be a such a poor fit defensively. I could see them trying to use Randle and/or the pick to try to pick up a guy like Melo or Ty Lawson.

Kupchak said that the Lakers don't have the time to build through the draft.
    http://basketball.realgm.com/wireta...-Dont-Have-Time-To-Slowly-Build-Through-Draft

I said they would try I didn't say they would succeed.
But if the past has taught us anything is that the whole history of the Lakers is littered with one sided robbery-trades.
For the record , not saying he will go to the Lakers because I don't believe it, but Jimmy , now also with Thibs being run out of town can strongarm the Bulls by threatening to take the QO and enter FA with the cap rise next summer on his own terms. He qualifies for starter so his QO is for the 15th pick. In that case they can choose to S+T to get something back.

Yeah, Wiggins didn't see the writing on the wall since he was a bit new to the business. I think he mentioned just being happy he was somewhere he felt wanted (after the trade)...

I actually think there's a decent chance Love opts in for 2015. A) Coming off significant injury, B) More potential FA money in 2016, C) More potential suitors in 2016, D) Another offseason to see how he fits into Cavs system.
