I know its only one preason game. We really don't know much about tate and foster has only one albeit great year. but if these guys stay healthy, can they combine for 3000 or is that absurd. the most in the last ten years for a team is 2900+ by Atlanta in 06, of course that's mike vick.
Not very likely. The goal should be 5.0 yards per carry. Move the chains. Schaub and company will get plenty of yards, too. As long as the RBs move the chains, the Texans will be doing great.
Doubtful, that's a lot to ask. Tate has to prove he can stay healthy, one preseason game isn't gonna make me a believer. I am excited about the possibilities of this 1-2 punch but 3000 yds is prolly too much to ask for.
If Schaub wasn't a beast and AJ decided it was time to hang it up, I could see it possibly happening, but with those two racking up yards, there's really no way.
The Saints run defense is pretty bad. Tate was encouraging but I think it's too early to start anointing Foster/Tate the best combo in the league.
Think about how ridiculous what you just said sounds. Foster will need to average 125 a game, and Tate 62ish.
I don't think Kubes is going to call enough running plays for them to get anywhere close. We had 2,042 yards last year as a team. I'd be very happy if a healthy Tate gave us an extra 400-600 yards.
As skeptical as I am on Kubiak as a head coach, his ability to put together an effective, well-rounded offense that improves each year has been astonishing. He is damn good on offense.
Hasnt happened in over 30 years. This is like Chris Johnson's own proclamation saying he's going for 2500 yards. Which he's still going for... Atlanta had all those rushing yards when the QB himself got involved in the rushing attack. Not happening with Schaub, its fully RB dependent. Need a GOOD DEFENSE to limit opponent's possessions. A mediocre defense puts you behind where you need to pass the ball to get back. For all the Texan's perceived defensive improvement in PRESEASON, I wouldnt put full faith in them being anything more than average on D.
