Found this site today. Other than Minnesota, the Rockets have had more "Man Games Lost" than any other team BY FAR this year. http://www.mangameslost.com/nba-games-missed-and-tmitt-metrics-april-6-2015/
Does it seem Minessotta has NEVER had a healthy roster. Everytime Rubio, Martin, Pekovic are out with injuries
Doesn't really matter. May help Harden's cause in the MVP race. Other than that, mew. It's not like we play a system under McHale. This just shows you Harden is the offense of this team.
It doesn't matter true, but it does verify that which we already suspected....that being that the Rockets this year have been devastated with injuries and to be 3rd in the NBA in record is an amazing accomplishment. Not that ESPN would ever cover that story or anything..... (p.s. To the basketball gods....whatever we did to offend you...we apologize profusely!!!)
So, since the graph is a little hard to read, I'll post some interesting numbers from the table on their website. Let's look at the current top 10 teams in the Western Conference. TTGM basically shows how much total man time was missed due to injury and illnesses and suspensions. TMITT measures the cumulative effect on the team of all of that. NBA Rank:TTGM / TMITT 1. GSW: 23 / 27 2. MEM: 22 / 25 3. HOU: 2 / 8 4. POR: 17 / 15 5. LAC: 26 / 30 6. SAS: 28 / 19 7. DAL: 27 / 29 8. NOP: 19 / 10 9. OKC: 7 / 6 10. PHO: 15 / 28 So, no one in Western playoff contention has had more player down time than the Rockets, and only OKC has suffered more than us from their down time. The rest of Western top 10 has been incredibly healthy. (The East by contrast is wracked with injuries.) OKC may not make the playoffs. Meanwhile, it's a bloody miracle that the Rockets are still the third seed when you look at these injury metrics. It's incredible. GSW and MEM are two of the healthiest teams in the entire league. Makes you wonder what the standings would look like if we were as healthy as the rest of West (excepting OKC). Hmmmmm.....
