I was rooting for the Hornets, but the hated Spurs are going to move on.

Who's going to win this matchup?

    Discuss.

Because of being more rested and having the home court, I give the edge to the Lakers. Back when the Western Conference was a complete jumble a couple of months ago, these were the two teams I expected to emerge. I never thought the Lakers needed Bynum's return to make the NBA Finals.

I dont see an answer for Tony Parker... of course Fisher can try but Fisher is no Paul and isnt that quick...

Advantage to Spurs and I see them playing Pistons in the finals

i think the difference maker in this series will be odom. the spurs can't find a good matchup for him.

still, tough to bet against the spurs when the entire lakers roster (outside of kobe and fisher) are not playoff experienced.

this should go to 7, and i dont know who will win but i'm routing for the lakers all the way.

I'm taking the Lakers. I can't stand the Spurs honestly.

What is VERY interesting to me though is that there are two possible options for the Finals.

    Lakers v. Celtics

    or

    Spurs v. Pistons

Which do you think Stern is bedside praying for?

Lakers/Pistons or Spurs/Celtics doesn't really do anything for me, don't know why.

The Spurs went 2-2 against the Lakers this year. Should be a good matchup. I say Spurs in 7.

I hope the lakers lose. I hope they get cursed for that Gasol deal. That deal was so unfair.

Ugh, another Spurs/Pistons final?

I'm already bummed that the Rockets aren't playing.... I might as well enjoy slitting my wrists if I have to see that crap finals again.

Gasol and Odom do not display the consistent grittiness required to beat San Antonio in a 7 game series.

San Antonio - Boston final. San Antonio Champs.

If it's Spurs vs. Pistons, I might actually skip 2 or 3 of the games. That better not happen.

Go anyone but the Lakers! Once they are eliminated, then go whoever comes out of the East! Ugh ... not much left in the way of teams to really root for now ...

My logic as well, even though I don't really hate them. They probably wouldn't even be here if it weren't for that "trade."

The Lakers have been one of my most hated teams in recent years, especially once they knocked us out several years back. However, I'm just so damn tired of seeing the Spurs in the Finals (along with their 70'ish point totals) and the Lakers exercised the demon (the Jazz) that was haunting me after our first round exit...

So I'm rooting hard for the Lakers.

A big rob shot buzzer beater to screw the lakers would be sweet.

This is clearly the super heavyweight fight of the NBA season

I haven't bet against the 'house', and I'm not doing it here. Spurs win again. I agree Gasol and Odom will have at least one awful game each this series which will prove crucial series-wise. Add in the lack of deep playoff experience for most of the roster, this will be a tough one for Kobe to overcome himself.

OMG, I can't believe I'm cheering for a Spurs-Pistons final. Too bad the Olympics won't overlap w/ the finals.
