[CNN] Union: Pistol-whipped detective didn't shoot attacker because of headlines

    Because it is impossible to fire a cop for some reason. (probably unions)

    The best a judge could do is make this guy resign for showing his crank to dudes and turning off the camera. No sex offender status.

    Nah, cops get fired all the time. They just weren't going to fire a cop for defending themselves against an attacker. The cop in Ohio that shot the guy that tried to drive off during the traffic stop was instantly fired because it was determined that it was a "bad shooting".

    You're are ignoring the point. The point is that laws are in place to make it extremely difficult to fire the cop. In the video I posted above the ex Baltimore cop said he could have shot people several times legally but he didn't because he didn't have to. He also speaks about the indictment that never happened because the prosecutor didn't do his job. Overall I'm not just talking about the Ferguson case. American officers need more training before being able to carry a weapon.
