Well it's slow to me. Usually there are some small moves here or there or talk of us working a deal for player x. It's dead quiet.
Speculation after Joffrey Lauvergne trade to OKC:

The Thunder will likely be aggressive with trades and can now move frontcourt players (McGary, Ilyasova) for other position (SF) help.
— Royce Young (@royceyoung) August 30, 2016
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [The Oklahoman] Thunder acquires Joffrey Lauvergne from Denver By trading for Lauvergne now, the Thunder is utilizing its cap space before it’s absorbed by players brought in on training camp contracts. [...] The move further fortifies the Thunder’s long-term frontcourt depth. Steven Adams, Enes Kanter, Mitch McGary, Domantas Sabonis and Lauvergne will all be under team control through this season and are all 24 or younger. The Thunder also still has 7-footer Dakari Johnson, 20, who could join the team next year after another season with the D-League Oklahoma City Blue or an overseas club. [...] In the wake of this summer’s signings of Alex Abrines and Ronnie Price, the Thunder now has 16 guaranteed contracts on its roster. It has until opening night (Oct. 26) to get back down to 15. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [The Denver Post] Joffrey Lauvergne traded by Nuggets to Oklahoma City for draft picks Lauvergne’s departure carves out a little space in a crowded front court that remains stuffed with forwards Kenneth Faried, Darrell Arthur and Juan Hernangomez to name a few. And that’s not counting “small” lineups that would have Danilo Gallinari or Wilson Chandler on the court at power forward. And that’s not counting any stints on the court that would boast the combination of Nikola Jokic and Jusuf Nurkic at the power forward and center spots. [...] The Nuggets now have 14 guaranteed contracts on the roster. Others are partially or non-guaranteed. The team has room to add a player to fill out the league maximum of 15 if it desires. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rudy gay to spurs for scrubs and 2nd rounder Rudy gay to spurs for scrubs and 2nd rounder... Obvisouly they need all the help they can get. Btw eat my roast.
Ty Lawson just signed by the Kings; maybe they can now trade us Gay and Collison for Ariza and Brewer?
I'd be interested in picking up Illyasova as a backup to Ryan Anderson. 48 minutes of a stretch 4 and we could even run a lineup of Illyasova-Anderson-Ariza-Gordon-Harden. We'd give up about 1000 points but hopefully score more.
I would love to see the Rockets bring back Papanikolaou. That dude could flat out ball! Super smart, moved the ball incredibly well, played some decent defense at times, could nail the 3 and finish the fast break. Thought he was a steal before his injury and the trade for Lawson. I think we had to wait a year before we could resign him. Well a year is up and if we have to move Ariza, Brewer, Dekker in a deal to get a legit 1 or 4 I would have no problem with Papa at the 3. If y'all don't remember, get on YouTube and look up his highlights from 2015 with us as a reminder. He was legit. Would probably thrive under a guy like Popovich.
He had some issues shooting but that probably would be sorted by time in the league, the team missed him this year. DD
Papa is a scrub, that's a reach saying we missed him last year.... Come on guys. Fingers crossed Morey starts to make some moves and solidify the roster. Why wait for the season to start?
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I really like this idea if we move out at least 2 of Ariza, Brewer, and KJ. Especially if Papa is willing to sign for the minimum. Dude can defend, handle, pass, and make a play. And we are extremely deficient in all those skills right now. Great suggestion Rokman. Will rep.
Papa definitely struggled in Denver, but he looked really good at times with James. His shot is the huge factor that can take from a 10th, 11th, 12th man to a 5th, 6th, 7th sort of glue guy. He has got to shoot better than 36 percent, which looked possible when he was healthy.
