I am not comparing Jones to Howard.

What i am saying is, Terrence Jones can be a poor mans Dwight Howard with improvement. He is in the right situation to make that happen. He is going to be a beast on the boards in a couple of seasons, if not sooner. Most importantly, he can do one thing that Howard can't do and he does it well. He, unlike Howard, can shoot the ball. Once that shot gets better, look out people!!!
Also, Jones is already known for his defensive prowess. I can't wait to see him guarding Howard. I think he would do well.

So, what do you think Clutchfans?? Can Jones ever reach Dwight's level??? Can he be half-a-Howard???

No. But if can convince Rob Hennigan this is true, more power to you.

He's also less dramatic than Howard.

Yeah, Jones could be poor man's Howard, expect he plays nothing like Howard.

Howard would destroy Jones if Jones were to guard him.

    I buy on Jones.

I slept for sure, but I like what I saw yesterday and look forward to him staying.......hopefully.

The "pick one" rumor sounds good to me 'cause I like all three.

I hope Jones is one they pass on...

Perfect world Jones and Lamb are passed over....but yeah right....

Once of those two will be involved in that DH deal if it goes down.

I really like all our picks. Even if we whiff on Howard I'll be ok with it (hopefully we get Asik though)

I love Jones and think he could be the best of the bunch and a guy to build around.

Oh I do hate comparisons. Too early to say how good they will be or what potential they must live up to. I'll be watching again tonight though. He did look good in his first summer league game.

At first I had a favorite among the 3 draft picks..Now after seeing them all, I'll be okay with whichever one or 2 is left on the team after a trade. I hope we keep Donuts though. 7fters that have a 3pt shot and can post don't grow on trees. If he can score 20+ in the next 2 games I will be pretty damn excited.

I've said this in a previous thread, but to me, Terrance Jones reminds me of Al Harrington. He's a power forward thats athletic, spread the floor, shoot the 3, take a guy off the dribble, and is a very good rebounder.

I know some may be dissapointed by the comparison to Harrington, but he's had a pretty solid career.

Lets not forget Jones is 252 and strong. If you noticed last night, he too was bringing the ball up the floor in transition and doing a pretty good job of it. Never seen Howard do that.

He has the size and strength to play center, though. As the seasons go by, he will get stronger.

    About an inch shorter...

    2 inches less in wingspan

    3-4 inches less in reach...

5-6 inches less on no step vertical

4 inchess less on max vertical reach

Naturally plays more like a guard than big.

    I'm going with NO.
