Early indications are that much of Texas will have 70-80 degree days leading up to Christmas, which no-doubt will probably be a 95 degree day (actually it'll probably be in the 60's to 70's). Does this suck or what?

the average high temp in houston in december is 65....so this isn't very uncommon.

of course, i'll never forget the 2004 snowy Christmas Eve. i told my then 4 year old son over and over again, "try to remember this...try really hard to remember all of this."

Well the weather hates you, too. Maybe if you left it would be better for all of us. *wink*

I love "winters" in Houston. I'm perfectly happy being able to wear shorts and flip flops on December afternoons.

In fact, I'm wearing shorts and flip flops right now.

    Suits me just fine.

I moved on Christmas last year up here in Omaha; and I learned the only two things scarier than driving a loaded U-Haul truck in a snowstorm are getting it stuck in one and watching smoke come up through the dashboard while you're trying to get it out.

Still better than riding Metro to a job interview in the summer, then walking the last fifteen minutes in a full suit, sweating like a share cropper.

I hate the cold. I live in Houston for a reason. How anyone complain about 70 degree weather is beyond me.

We get hot all the time in Texas... it would be nice to have that Christmas weather and sipping on egg nog near the fireplace every once in awhile... I brought a brand new jacket, would love to wear that one day....

Don't forget that Houston basically turns into a dishwasher between May and September.

you guys have no reason to complain. 65 degree in december? I remember people thinking overnight freezes were bad.

I live in NYC - which is mild because of all the heat from the city - but we finally cracked 40 today for a high.

I'm looking out my window at the 19" of snow still on my yard and with the high today only 15 degrees and I'm thinking about the brown Christmases I grew up with. Tell your kid I would be up for trading places.
