Let's not put too much hype on this team. Bigger expectation, bigger disappointment. We have to bear in our mind that this is NOT an elite team.
Walkover win. Miami are the worst team in the league. There are claims that Ricky Davis has been waiving off Riley's instructions from the sideline.
Miami is horrible. This should be the last Shaq v Yao, and I think we all know who needs to dominate. Whenever Wade is on the floor, they have a shot to beat us but it shouldn't come down to that if we take care of some business for 48 minutes.
Optimistically: We all return to form and blow the Heat out of the water. Pessimistically: We build a big lead, then choke the whole thing away to Dwayne Wade. It is on coach Adelman to: 1) Ensure the team defends well. 2) Maintain Yao's good playing. 3) Make offense easier for McGrady. 4) At the same time, make sure Scola gets incorporated into the offense properly alongside Yao and McGrady. 5) Make sure the rest of our guards do not mess up. 6) Ensure that the Rockets execute down the stretch. 7) Find a way to incorporate Steve Francis if the guards do not play well. 8) Have I said defense? Defend well, and ALL THE FREAKING TIME!!! Cheers!
Rockets need this game. I think they will pull this out. Miami is nowhere near any of the teams the Rockets have been playing lately with the exception of the Grizzlies.
shaq is still effective and i think he'll be motivated for this game. if rockets don't send yao any help defenders against shaq like they have always, the matchup will be interesting. shaq's on the last leg of his career and i think yao should take some pride in guarding him one-on-one.
I hate to be pessimistic, but I think we are gonna lose this one too. Wade will probably destroy an injured Tmac, and Shaq would cause a lot of trouble for Yao. My prediction, Rockets lose, 90-98 Tmac: 7-20FG, 20 pts, 7 rebs, 5 assists, 3 TOs, 2 PFs Yao: 5-17FG, 13 pts, 6 rebs, 2 assits, 6 TOs, 5 PFs Please prove me wrong, please please please! (and this board would be again flooded with negative threads)
