    I wonder if the people who defended his behavior have any additional comment. I would love to find out if they will try to double down on stupid, or whether they are smart enough to fold, and admit their mistake.

    The only question in my mind was whether his behavior was criminal or not.

    Now that the police themselves have said the cop was wrong I am guessing the "cops are always right" crowd will be able to agree that the fired cop was in the wrong -- or their minds will explode in confusion -- one or the other.
