To piggyback onto the thread last week on Troy Daniels and Robert Covington, I put together a scouting report on Isaiah Canaan this weekend to figure out how he can help the Rockets next season. Is Isaiah Canaan Ready To Be The Houston Rockets' Backup Point Guard? http://www.ridiculousupside.com/201...-to-be-the-houston-rockets-backup-point-guard As always, I'd love some feedback from you all. Hope you enjoy!
Good read and appreciate the videos. Canaan's inability to finish at the rim and defensive effort are the biggest concerns for me. I think he'll either improve his shot selection or become a good enough outside shooter that you can live with a few bad shots. I'm still not sold on him as a backup PG for a competing NBA team, but I could see him fitting nicely if surrounded by the right guys on court allowing him to be a guy who plays mainly on the perimeter on offense, and if he tries a little more on D.
