I was just speaking to a ticket rep at the Rockets organization about playoff tickets and he said that Carl was there last night answering phones (with Brooks, Scola, and another guy). Said that Carl was saying he's gonig to be ready for Sunday - but going to be out tonight (but still suit up).
If he by chance dunks on Kobe Bryant, I will immediately jump out of my seat at the game and start chanting "rookie of the year!"
Great news. Lets see in fact if he does suit up 2nite, then we will definitely know he will play sunday.
Great news for Sunday! Would love for him to get a few minutes in tonights game to begin getting back into game shape.
Are you going to chat rookie of the year or R.O.Y.? Because rookie of the year is a long and drawn out chant and most lazy people will probably give up half way through the chat. On the other hand, most fans probably don't know what R.O.Y. stands for so you are either going to confuse them or they are going to think are you overly excited about some dude named ROY!
Lol at the ticket rep telling you Landry is playing. Not to be a dick bro but the ticket rep has no idea who is and isn't playing tommorrow. Landry wouldn't be talking to ticket reps about things of that nature.
Maybe you would. That's not the point. Do you think he would honestly divulge his status to a ticket rep to talk to people on the phone? They will say whatever it takes to move tickets. landry could say anything is the point and the ticket rep would say nothing but the positive.
The guy there didn't sound like a lowly rep you'd get on ticketmaster - he knew his stuff. And he didnt actually sell the tickets, he transferred me to someone else to do that. We talked about the Rockets run, about how crazy it's over there right now, but I don't think he'd lie, because if he did, I might change my mind about trusting anything they tell me.
I am going to try to make it down if I can catch a weekend game and bring along a guest. Not a big group. But wouldn't mind connecting with some fans and all grabing drinks beforehand. Not sure if I'd stay overnight or just come for the game and go back. I haven't been to Houston in a very long time.
