What should be the Texans' plan moving forward at QB, presuming that Manning was available?

In order of likely options it's Mallett, drafted QB, nothing at all, moving the team to LA, then Manning.

Manning on this team...gets you to the superbowl. Would you guys not be willing to throw away one season for a developing QB for a shot to win a Superbowl?

I think either way you draft a QB, but Mallett gives us a better chance at having someone who can stick around for more than a season. With that being said, I can't help but feel a little excited at the prospect of Manning wearing a Texans helmet, even if he ends up Ed Reed-ing us.

If Peyton at full health (recovered from torn quad), You can't pass up that. Even Peyton at 3/4 of what he was this year would be better than any other option we would have.

So I'd go, Peyton and draft a high upside qb in one of the first two rounds.

Learning from the sideline is not "throwing away a season"... Any QB they draft will not be ready anyways.

You're must be as gullible as a high school female if you think Peyton of now can lead you to superbowl win. Everything he does in the regular is fools gold cause he chokes it away when he gets into the playoffs

when you know you can't win a chip with that QB, then you're just spinning your wheels wasting the season with him at QB. Denver is a much more talented team in all of the last three years compare to our team now and look where he got them. Blown the eff out in the superbowl at best

And you must be dumb as a rock to think any of the QB's we have now can lead Houston to the postseason...

Peyton guarantees you 11 wins. With a legit qb you at least have a shot

is not happening that Peyton gets cut by Denver, so its a moot point asking if the texans should go get him.
