I've been watching basketball since 1980, and I can't think of a shooter like Troy Daniels. What I mean is that Troy doesn't seem to have his spots on the floor. He can pretty much jack it up from anywhere on the court including 10 feet behind the 3 pt line and when he misses, it goes in and out. He doesn't shoot bricks. Guys like Kerr, Kapono, and Novak would stand at their spots and wait for the ball. Where as Daniels can shoot on the move. Gilbert Arenas was similar in that he would jack it up from anywhere but he was not near as consistent or accurate.

    What do you guys think?

I have to see him do it consistently for a season before I compare him to other great shooters. (I believe this will be the year)

Curry is the best shooter today and will turn out to be the best all time.

Trey D has to prove it when the real games start and prove it consistently on a nightly basis.

No. He's the best to ever do it. We should retire him now.

I never said he was the best. He's a backup guard. It is just that I don't remember shooter than is like him. Ray Allen is a hall of famer, but he definitely has his spots on the floor.

If Daniels was a few inches Taller I think he could be a night in & night out scorer.

Daniels needs to know his strength and that's shoot the ball any chance you get. I can see him averaging 10 points with like 12-14 playing time per game.

I'm sorry but did you really watch basketball since the 80s, because if you think Troy is the only guy who can make shots from anywhere and does not have his spots, you are delusional.

Has there ever been a rebounder/defender like Tarik Black?
Has there ever been a player with post moves like DMo?

Steph Curry is the best at this. No spot on the floor is too difficult for him, and if you really want to see what a fadeaway three looks like then just watch GSW film. Unfortunately, the sheer joy of watching Curry play makes it so that all the other facets of his game become overrated. As a net player, I have no idea how anyone can justify ranking him ahead of Harden or Howard.

He reminds me of a Craig Hodges (designated shooter), but has a long way to go to prove himself that accurate.
