I'm not quite as old as some of our more veteran members, but I was wondering if there were any years of the "Classic" Rockets uniform (1976ish-95 I believe) that did not feature the player name on the back?

Sorry for the superfluous thread, but this is the only place I could think to ask this question.

No player name on the back? Not that I'm aware of... I'll check on it.

    From left to right:

Sam Dalembert, Kevin McHale, Goran Dragic (front), Courtney Lee (back), Hasheem Thabeet, and Kevin Martin.

i personally hate our jerseys.... although i like the red and yellow ones from above.... i wish we could get a uniform change ... something similiar to the 94-95 jerseys.... im tired of the grey v-neck white stripe wal-mart knockoff lookin jerseys we sport........

BRING BACK KETCHUP AND MUSTARD. Seriously Rockets brass, I know for a fact you read this. Please bring back this city's identity with its real, tried and true colors. Anything else is trying too hard to have that clean, corporate look that just isn't becoming of a team with a history tied to yellow and red.

I think it's a safe bet to say they've always had the names on the back, even the San Diego ones had the names on the back from what I've seen in Highlights...
