Should the primary road jersey show the word "Houston" instead of "Rockets"?

This. Le$ doesn't want to water down his brand.

 

It's been 10 years, should made the change for this season already to completely new jerseys. I am actually fine with the logo, don't know what the fuss is about. And for those wanting a freaking mcdonalds ketchup and mustard on their burgers, let's keep it at that.

 

And put the map of Texas on it

 

i think the Clippers do what the OP is suggesting (team name home jerseys ,city name away jerseys), and it seems like a good idea marketing wise

 

That's how it is for most teams. People who are fans that live outside of the city want stuff that has the team name. A big exception being New York but NY is as much apart of the team as the Knicks. Even the Celtics have their name on the away jersey.

Are you sure? I think the Celtics just have alternate jerseys that say Boston that they wear every now and then.

 

yes, as alternate jerseys.

but their standard road jerseys used to always say Celtics, just like the Lakers road jersey.

however, both franchises feature their alternate jerseys many times throughout the season and it is not uncommon to see.

I agree with the OP, it should be standard.

and Boston seemed to have made the same assessment as they are going with every road jersey featuring city name this season
