Rockets plan is to resign Dwight this summer...

Morey will NOT give him a max. Too much mileage and too much wear and tear.

Dwights people reached out to Dallas to see if they would be interested in a max deal this summer. Dallas says no - 30 year old with too many injuries.

Dwights people even checked with the Lakers - the Lakers said he wasn't welcomed back... Just too many PR issues etc.

    FIRST!

Dwight is worth a good deal but certainly not the MAX.

    I'd do 4 years - $80 Million with it being 10,20,20,30

If true, shows that Dwight really wants to stay here and loves Houston. Hope he rings here

wtf? Dallas and LA are *not* allowed to talk to our signed players or their reps without the consent of GM/owner.

Someone should report Cuban to the League Office if this is accurate info.

It is not Rocket science to know that he won't get the Max from us....that is common sense.

Thanks Cyber for letting us know though, and for letting us in on the thoughts of the rest of the league.

BUT, it will only take ONE team to offer him the max and he will be gone.

So, I expect this to be a way for the Rockets to let him walk with a palms up "We tried".

This is helpful to us - two teams capable of max offers declining.

Not team is going to offer him the max.

YAY! That's what I've wanted all along.

Sucks that his people are actually trying Dallas/LA to see if Max is available.

Makes sense though. That's their job to get most they can for D12.

Still wish he'd get rid of that Dallas nut hugger of an agent. lol

Dwight needs to stay for the right price!

Someone will offer him max. I don't really see him being on the Rockets next season.

Ain't no one gonna pay him 30 million dollars a year. Just ain't gonna happen.

4 years 88 million would be.......fair, given the amount of money being handed to mediocre players these days.

Just hope Dwight stays in a game once in awhile.

    Welcome back, cyberx.

Maybe they consented? I see no reason why they wouldn't if they're not planning on giving DH the max.

Wow. Not exactly unexpected but very interesting news nonetheless. Dwight's just not a max player anymore, though it doesn't look like he's interested in taking a huge pay cut if he's seeking out max deals. Maybe if he sees there isn't a huge market for him, he'll reconsider that.

Him reaching out to the Lakers is amazing, though. Surely he knows there are many reasons that wouldn't work haha.

    Has he contacted AINGE?

And how much difference are we talking about? Is it bellow 25 or bellow 20?

Cyber is it true that Gay will likely be traded? And the Rockets are in talks?

    Thank you.

Great news, especially with Durant either going to Golden State or resigning with OKC, per Woj.
