Seems like a good place to post this:

    http://thebiglead.com/2015/11/11/demarcus-cousins-cursed-out-george-karl-sacramento-kings/

As someone who works/has worked for dysfunctional ownership. Nothing will change as long as Vivek is there. The Kings are a lost cause unless he hires someone who knows what they're doing, and he moves out of the way.

I had high hopes for this guy as an owner. It's really amazing how integral owners are to the success of teams. And it isn't about a willingness to spend money. Guys like James Dolan or Mikhail Prokhorov aren't afraid to spend money, but they've still totally ruined their franchises.

The new ownership in Golden State quickly turned that franchise around, while Vivek seems absolutely clueless. It's a shame. I feel bad for the fans of Sacramento. Remember when they were ruckus crowds that brought cowbells to games? They seemed pretty die hard. It's unfortunate that in the post Webber, Peja, Bibby era they've been so terrible for so long. There have been tough times to be a Rockets fan, but not really like this - or the Nets - or the Knicks - or Charlotte. etc etc etc.

Bad ownership = bad teams. Hell, I bet Bulls fans are missing Jerry Krauss by now.

    Absolutely.
Also my team the Bucks suffered decades due to the owner who thought that the goal was treadmilling and geting swept in the first round. Literally that was his goal every single year. It's not only the Dolan's and the Prokhorovs who do the damage . Now the new owners in a matter of a year have turned completely the thing around. Not only secured an arena but also secured management even if they still make some idiotic decisions you don't fear anymore every year around February that your rookie will get traded for a 4 month rent of JJ Redick.
Ownership is the most important part of a team, more important than everything else.
And if the owner is good he will also sooner or later find a competent GM.
From what cyber has let known and from what seems behind reports I'm almost certain all this press leaks come from Boogie's camp. Sprinkled with some Rich Paul leak. (it's not a coincidence the mention of Maclemore who this year should get playing time if he wants to get an extension but instead he is losing his playing time, perhaps justifiably).

Boogie didn't want Karl from the beginning and now he leaks stuff to press. I bet in most teams players say words to coaches and they also have player meetings but things are kept in house they dont go tell all the details to the media.
It's obvious that Boogie wants to oust Karl.

Just a complete disaster of a franchise.

    07: Spencer Hawes (10th)
    08: Jason Thompson (12th)
    09: Tyreke Evans (4th)
    10: DeMarcus Cousins (5th)
    11: Bismack Biyombo (7th)
    12: Thomas Robinson (5th)
    13: Ben McLemore (7th)
    14: Nik Stauskas (8th)
    15: Willie Cauley-Stein (6th)

9 drafts, 8 top ten picks, one all star player and a bunch of trash.

to be fair, Tyreke Evans was a good piece for the future. It's just management that didn't know which pos to put in him. They should've kept him at the one and built around him and cousins.

Vivek is a douchebag and an incompetent fool.

Does not do his homework before hiring his coach.

And then goes to his players and admits to them he has no ****ing clue as to how to do his job and asks them for advice on firing their boss.

    LOL! Douchebagery!

    Just turrible!

And I say this as someone that does not like George Karl.

The owner is a joke in Sac town,

but it doesn't mean Cousins is the right cornerstone player that you should rely on for your team.

He ain't much better than their owner also.

It could be worse. They could be the Nets. Worst team in the league and don't even have their 1st rd pick this year b/c they traded it is unprotected.

This is a clear case of the Owner meddling way TOO much with the GM and the coaching staff. Sometimes feel bad...the guy has shown the willingness to want to win, and has talent in DMC to get them too...That being said, he needs to step back from the organization, and let the guys he hired do their jobs. He sees the success that GSW had and cant help by be envious about their rapid success. What he was given to work with was different than Golden State.

But just like Jordan(the owner) struggled mightly putting together a solid product...Vivek is going through the same. However, his lack of success is crushing his star player. Cousins would love to leave this dysfunctional franchise...BUT i genuinely dont see it unless...

    < insert Daryl Morey's pic >

All jokes aside, I think its time for the owner to clean house of everyone. Start anew... Hire a real NBA GM, and let that GM hire his coaching staff and shape the roster. If you trust Divac, let him be the new president of basketball operations, but his blunders as a GM are telling so far...George Karl is a great NBA coach...And while has had a reputation of getting under his star players nerves, the problems these Kings have is much more systemic.
