He seems pretty vital and key to what they do.

But as soon as I say that, they'll reel of a great win streak or something and change their style.

Bad news for the Grizzlies. They are done without him.

That's kinda jacked up. Was his foot already broken or did the strain of pushing, pushing, pushing through the pain cause the break?

Could f*** up a guy's career. Look at Kevin McHale. He was probably done anyway, but he wouldn't admit it. Now he has to live with frankenfoot. And I don't write it because I think it's funny. I've had minor foot problems and thankfully haven't had to deal with such an injury, but minor foot problems ar bad enough.

Too bad. He's obviously what makes that team go and unfortunately they don't really have someone behind him who can even come close to his production.

Too bad, he's the new Yao.

Seems to be too risky to ever invest heavily in a big, back-to-the-basket center.

Hope the Rockets don't double down on their mistake of bringing Dwight here.

They just got a hell of a lot weaker and that's good news for the rest of the conference, bad news for Memphis. I hope it isn't going to wreck his career. Gasol is a terrific player that any team would like to have.

He's 31 and this is his first foot injury I think.

I don't think he's anything like Yao in the foot department.

Usually it's career threatening for the guys 7'2 and up.

The 7 footers are usually just on the cusp of being okay.

Plus his brother has good feet so the genetics are there.

The Gasols have played more basketball than most with there deep playoff pushes and international play.

Don't worry. He'll have a MIRACULOUS recovery just in time to play the Rockets. And they'll clown us.

Do we go all in and go after Randolph?

They must want to clear the cap for the summer right about now.

OTOH I wonder if it's worth taking a hit to our own cap space for someone who can't really turn our team around.

The rockets like to lose to good teams without their best players
