Oh what the hell. Just when he was entering the conversation as best LT in the league. Please for the love of God don't let this be serious.....Houston NEEDS some good luck.
This is exactly why I'm not amped up about the season like most people. AJ going down and now Duane Brown. This team can't catch a break.
This was this morning. Surprised there wasn't already a thread. Updates on it: -He played two more plays after the injury -Walked off on his own power -Went for an MRI
thanks. I hadn't seen a thread or anything further on twitter so went ahead and posted the only update i saw I'm still expecting the worst and hoping for the best...seen plenty walk off just fine and get my hopes up for no reason (Brent Price comes to mind for some reason)
Ok, apparently his left ankle got rolled up. He stayed in for 1-2 more reps, then walked off the field WITHOUT A LIMP. He was then carted to RELIANT from the FIELD. He was NOT carted off the field. This is hopefully nothing too serious, and more precautionary than anything else. http://www.houstontexans.com/news/a...e-injury/3ae13577-a4b5-4b2b-a09b-2f2757fc0626
I'll let you take the blame. Lol I feel like shet for arguing that he wasn't the best LT in the league. SMH His presence is essential to this teams success. And in a contract year too.
Guys, you can relax. It doesn't seem like it's that bad at all. I really think this is all just precautionary. But HR Dept, I only wanna hear good things about our players coming out of you from now on.
Sheesh. It's 8/1. I think he's got time to recover from a minor ankle sprain before the season starts.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p><a href="https://twitter.com/search/%23TexansNation"><s>#</s><b>TexansNation</b></a> I'm good!!!! Thanks for the thoughts and concerns!</p>— Duane Brown (@DuaneBrown76) <a href="https://twitter.com/DuaneBrown76/status/230745073975959553" data-datetime="2012-08-01T19:21:27+00:00">August 1, 2012</a></blockquote> <script src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
It sounds like he's OK, thankfully - but I would caution any and everybody: this is *EXACTLY* what a lot of Patriot fans were saying when Brady was lost for the season a few years ago. Hell, Matt Schaub finished the Buc game with his foot broken. Until there's an MRI, any evidence gathered from the initial aftermath is usually pretty flimsy.
so you're not excited about the texans having one of the best teams in football because someone has the possibility of getting hurt? No offense, but that just sounds like a depressing way to live. Look, you can be worried about guys going down, but that doesnt mean it should take away from the excitement of it all.
Everyone always expects the worst when they hear about people getting rolled up on and suffering ankle injuries, those type of injuries tend to cause more damage by lingering or reaggravation. This may be minor but hopefully is nothing major. Me especially after all that talking I was doing this morning about Duane... next time I do all that I'm making sure I find some wood to knock on after the fact, even if I have to make due with my own.
