Fox Sports SW should pick up all Spurs games when they play the Rockets. That way we would not miss the game.

According to my Austin RoadRunner TV listings, Rockets/Spurs is on TimeWarner Digital channel 914 - it's NBA4.

    Hope that's accurate.

While this statement is true, there have always been alternatives in the past (ESPN, FSSW, WB54). I have never missed a Rockets/Spurs game in 3 years with League Pass on DirecTV. TW cable may be different.

Austin is considered Spurs territory and they do black out their HOME games.

Not sure about away games, or games AT Houston. Probably do as the San Antonio channels have first dibs on the broadcast.

Some of their games have been on channel 54 FoxSW, but I think we are screwed with tonights game.

    Just spoke to Time Warner.

All Spurs game are blacked out here in Austin.

We are considered a Spurs market, and unless a local station picks up the games, they will not be shown.

Same thing that our Beaumont breathren are going through.

First time I can remember that I haven't been able to see a game on SOMETHING.

If it happened before I must have missed it. This is my 3rd. season with League Pass.

I HATE SA!! (The Spurs, anyway.)

Even though we're in Spurs territory, I don't understand blacking out a game that we have no access to watch over the air. Even with an antenna, we can't receive the SA WB or whoever is covering the game tonight for their market.

Someone mentioned that there is a 150 mile blackout radius. If that is true, it is a losing proposition for the NBA. There is no way that the NBA is losing significant ticket sales outside of a 40-50 mile radius due to television coverage.

The Austin blackout of Spurs games, and the Beumont blackout of Houston games are both a waste that just deprive fans who have shelled out a lot of money for digital cable and the league pass. The NBA needs to pull its head out.

    Doc Robert,

Who sets the radius? I would not mind so much if I could get the San Antonio home broadcast.

However, in Austin, I can not pick up their signal, and cable does not offer it.

I looked up the old thread about Beaumont. It was TheFreak who said 150 miles, but it sounded like he was only speculating.

I think the broadcast rules are all set by the NBA and their television licensing. Thanks a lot David Stern.
