This describes an all star who leads the league in scoring perfectly. (Sarcasm)

Doesn't have to be great, just has to be respectable.

Making 62 total threes in 76 games is not respectable.

I guess he could be a playmaker off the bench when Harden isn't in, but if he's playing minutes late in the game with Harden, then prepare for an even uglier offense than we're used to.

Think 2016 playoff Beverley. That's how bad it would be.

Kidd didn't have to be a great shooter in his era, but the rules have changed. The closest player to Rubio in the no hand-check era is Rondo, and he's really struggled the last few years. Remember the 2015 playoffs versus Dallas, when we didn't guard Rondo at all? What makes you think Rubio can do better?

I like the idea of Rubio, I just don't think the reality is there.

Morey has said he prefers guards that can score.

MDAs system is based on space as much as it is speed. As much as everyone focuses on Nash's playmaking ability, he was also a fantastic shooter....which Rubio is not.

What about defense? Do they have to be a respectable defender?

Peak Rondo was a pretty damn good basketball player, and that was with no semblance of an outside shot and a complete inability to hit a free throw. Rubio has become legitimately dangerous at the free throw line (top 30 in the league in free throws made last season) and became an at least competent 3-point shooter last season. At 25 years old, there's reason to believe he could continue to improve in those areas.

    Great D&D today.. POLARIZING figure.

Waiting till Thursday.. THE clock has been set. Time is draining like a cyst in Dwight Howard's knee.

what I care about right now is now how Harden will fit but if there are any news?
    Are we still interested?

Because if we aren't and he's traded to BKN or Chicago, then this whole discussion is pointless anyway.

I wouldn't waste much time think about Rubio to Houston it's a terrible fit. I don't think Morey makes that move. Doesn't fit the system.

Morey will have other options btw, sooner or later the Suns are going to trade at least one between Knight and Bledsoe, maybe Ainge will shop Smart...these are all guys i would keep and eye on cause i think they fit here, personally i would like Smart cause he's cheap, not injury prone like the others but he need to get better, especially his shooting need to improve.

Yep, but he's still young and a good fit with Harden.

True but Rondo was a very strong penetrator, finisher, and rebounder. He had great 3pt shooters and Garnett to kick to. It's much harder for Rubio because he is both a bad shooter and a bad finisher.
