I feel bad for Carmelo. This whole story of him recruiting Durant is just sad adn delusional.

[rquoter]Kevin Durant doesn't want to talk in-depth about his free agency at this USA basketball clinic. But when asked about the Knicks' addition of Derrick Rose, he said, "Derrick Rose is a great player... We'll see after I leave here (about whether he will meet with the Knicks)." KD added "Melo is my friend" when asked about Carmelo Anthony being in his ear.[/rquoter]

[rquoter]Kevin Durant didn't want to divulge which teams he'd be meeting with in free agency. On the Knicks, he said, "'Obviously they have a good team now with D-Rose and Melo and Porzingis so I will talk to my team and we will figure things out."[/rquoter]

KD will probably talk to Houston IF the Rockets get Horford on board. (ala Suns/Tyson Chandler 2015).

There's definitely skill in the drafting, but Draymond was drafted in the second round in 2012, and signed a 3 year contract, why 3 and not 4? or 2?

That's not luck. Are they lucky he turned into a max player, probably, but negotiating a 3 year deal when you knew a new TV deal was due is just good planning.

I remmeber the Klay Thompson deal wasn't universally accepted as a good deal when it was signed. Now it's an amazing deal.

My point is give credit where credit is due. Even the only "bad move" they made was doing a solid for a long-time player (moving Lee to where he can get playing time).. But here's the key difference between the Warriors and most other teams.

They pay players and somehow these players GET BETTER and outperform their contracts. Why does this keep happening to them and not us?

"According to a source the Houston Rockets are looking at the following high-level free agents: Al Horford, Kevin Durant, Hassan Whiteside and Ryan Anderson. The team's search to upgrading the roster will be wide and not just strictly with these four players."

There you have it. Rockets would not still be going for Durant if they got real talk from his agency saying to quit it.

3 quality bigs all getting asked the same question: Can we tell Durant you would be on board if our new big 3 is you, Durant and Harden? Then they go to Durant and say: All 3 of these guys are a yes. You choose.

BTW, Roc Nation is owned by Jay Z, and we know how Bey feels:

What if Durant says to Boston "Hey, I want to play with Al Horford and 1 other star, like....James Harden."

It's amazing that Durant did not even mention James Harden or Rockets since Durant and Harden are really good friends.

Durant does not want to play with Harden again or what?

Still not understand why Durant did not mention anything about Houston

Yeah, it's amazing how all the reporters keep saying "he can go to Boston with Horford and hope that someday in the future maybe bla bla" when he can play with Horford and his best friend which is also a top 5 player in the league from day 1 in a better market...

Apparently. I would've thought a quick glance at the Rockets' current roster would be all anyone needs to figure out why Durant isn't even meeting with Morey.

    Durant is coming to Houston.

According to the great Morey....we are a great destination for the top free agents.
    No worries guys.

What free agent wouldn't want to come here?
We are only like 8 good pieces away from contending.

Who could resist one of those famous Rockets laptops?
It's gotta be so tempting for Durant to wanna come form a new big three in Houston.(Harden/Himself and Brewer)

    Chill guys....
    Relax.....

What do the Spurs, Thunder, and Warriors have that we don't?
We are light years ahead of them.

    Welcome to Houston Durant.
