(T&P's) Fan just fell from upperdeck at Rangers Ballpark

Was watching the game just now and a fan tumbled from one of the upper decks trying to grab a foul ball. The umpire looked very freaked out, the players have exited the field as most of them were praying. No link.

I have been telling my best friend for years that this would eventually happen. Actually, my prediction was that someone was going to fall off of the upper deck trying to grab a t-shirt shot out of a cannon.

    Hope the person is alright.

Just said it was the mezzanine section, but that's still a big fall. The players and umps are still all shaken up. Said he tried to grab the section of the suites while falling below him but slipped and tumbled over onto the field level section.

I remember a kid falling from a upper deck section, but luckily there were nets in place to catch him...

I don't think he's going to recover... estimated that it was a 50-60 foot fall. That just sucks...

My son is at the game with his baseball team and my sister is there with another group. She called very freaked out about it. They were not near him but did see him fall.

Didn't a fan fall off an escalator or something at a Mets game a year or two ago?

I just read that the guy is in stable condition on a live game blog. Hope it's valid.

The announcers just said the fan is in stable condition and is responsive with all fingers and toes working. Good to hear.

I'm only watching this game cause I have a fantasy baseball pitcher in it. And the 'Stros bore me to tears.

Update on the fan that fell (this one from The Crawfish Boxes)...

He’s in stabilized condition being tended to at a local hospital. He’s moving all his extremities. There are also 4 others being tended to, who cushioned the fall somewhat.
Thank God he and the others are alive and alright.

This happened at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington because Texas stadium's upper deck fell a few months ago....
