    Most people look at the Warriors offense, but they play great TEAM defense... They have some nice rotations and most of their runs come off of their pressure defense.

    Anthony Davis was hurt last season too. So was Ryan Anderson, Jrue Holiday, Eric Gordon, etc.

    The Pelicans were one of the most injured teams in the league last year. This year was just as bad for them injury-wise.

    Both Eric Gordon and Jrue Holiday had season-ending injuries last year.

    And like I said... the Pelicans started the season this year 1-11. Their poor play had nothing to do with injuries. They were just as bad when everyone was healthy.

    Pelicans is a bad example, they never had enough healthy bodies for any sustained period during the season, which made it almost impossible to install any kind of system.

    I think this is a good hiring because it will take advantage of Harden's offensive skill, which is the only thing the Rockets can build on. Whether if they can improve defense is something everyone wants to find out.

    I dislike the idea of team hiring the assistant for the head coach, that will be a time bomb waiting to explore. The head coach has to hire the people he wants to work with on a day2day bases, let's hope he knows the area he needs help, and hire the right people.

    That is not the West Coast offense. The West Coast offense and the Run and Shoot have little in common. I don't even think your description of the Run and Shoot is correct.

    The West Coast offense does not go for big plays. It is a ball control offense that achieves this through short passes rather than running. If you get big plays, it's cuz Jerry Rice or John Taylor (whatever his name was) break a tackle off a short pass & get loads of yards after the catch.

    THE distinction of the Run & Shoot is that it does not have tight ends. 4 Wide Receivers, one back. Because you have so many receivers on routes, it sometimes makes it tough to have the pass protection to run long routes. The West Coast offense always has tight ends.

    Why the heck do people keep posting about injuries when this post clearly makes that talk not relevant. People need to read more and write less.

    If you want to use a football analogy:

    Pringles = Chip Kelly

    Either one of those two - and Eric Gordon - would arguably be the second best player on the Rockets. Ryan Anderson would be up there on the Rockets. People are making up too many excuses.

    Yeah, I don't get it either. I'm from New Orleans originally so I catch a good bit of Pelicans games and talk basketball with some friends who are Pelicans fans. So I know a good bit about their team.

    And I can say with certainty, they were just as injured last season as they were this season. So the injury argument doesn't really hold water. The team was just much worse this year from the very beginning.
