So my 16 y/o godchild got dumped for the first time yesterday. Almost 6 months with the girl of his dreams. So last night in a attempt to cheer him up his father and I started going over the number of time we've been dumped. Not counting a 2 or 3 dates and never hearing from them again. His Father was dumped 3 times before meeting his now wife. Me on the other hand being almost 40 and never married its way over 10 times. Ranging from in person, over the phone, told by a mutual friend, convincing her to break up with me, to the breakup text. how many times have you been dumped?
Sort of once...although I kept misbehaving until it was inevitable, so not sure that one time even counts.
Dayum my breh. U got da green peen and da regular peen. Once. Maybe twice. But the second time was actually mutual. So I'm going to go ahead and claim once.
Twice. Both after years of dating (and emotional and $$ investment). I still miss both of them... but dodged bullets by not tying the knot too soon. First case - we had been dating for 4 years (started as teenagers) - I lived abroad for a year or so, we corresponded long distance. Came back and she let me buy plane tickets to visit and have dinner and have our 'welcome back' kiss - then I saw on Faecbook that she was engaged. Second case - we had been dating for 2 years. On a random weeknight we were watching a movie on her couch. She stood up, looked at me, and said "you're not my boyfriend, you wouldn't like me if I didn't have make-up on, in high school I used to be fat, you're way too indecisive," and it just kept going. We didn't talk after that. Cold turkey. Sometimes the crazy doesn't come out fast enough.
I like how men will not admit to exactly how many times they've been broken up with. I've been broken up with maybe twice. On a couple of other occasions I broke up with someone and then we got back together before she got her revenge.
I got dumped when I was in the 7th grade that's about it, I have OCD, I lose interest before I get dumped
Twice, once in an extremely short relationship that I wanted to break up already but she got to it first. Was pretty happy she actually brought it up first. Second time was with a girl that I wanted to be with long term, kind of came out of nowhere so was really bummed out after she broke up with me but got over it after a month or two.
pretty much everytime im in a relationship... I tend to avoid them for a week or to untill they break up with me, that way i dont have to feel bad about doing it and they feel like it was their choice.
