Jeffries played like absolute trash tonight, missing layup after layup. Can't believe Patterson didn't even see 1 second on the court.

Who would you rather have in the rotation?

Jeffries because even though he can't score, he can still defend. As much as Jeffries fails on the offensive end, his bread and butter is defense. close thread/

Jefferies. He is the best charge taker in the NBA and he can always defend.

    Patterson? He's way too unknown.

The thing about it is Jeffries may have been trash on offense, but he may have been our best guy to guard Dirk, who went off when we put in Scola. I do however prefer Chuck above all.

Patterson. He is a lottery pick, and has the potential. He will develop into a much better palyer than Jefferies if he can get playing time.

I dunno, I really like Jeffries on D. He is so versatile and can cause problems for defenses, as we saw tonight, if he could just finish at a more efficient rate...dunk the ball Jared

Patterson has shown he can hit the 15 ft jumpshot, and that he is capable of grabbing some boards.

I think you play whoever suits the opponent

I'd rather see them included in a trade package that brings us a closer.

    Quit overreacting. Cut him???

Just because he looks like a skinny troll doesn't mean he isn't a very good defensive player.

Look, I love Patrick Patterson as much as the next guy (more probably), this team wants to win THIS year. Jeffries (right now) most likely gives the Rockets the best chance to win.

Next year, it will (hopefully) be Patterson's time.

Jeffries will be gone (although I'd be okay re-signing him if he'd take the vet minimum).

    Hayes may be gone.

If he progresses quickly enough, Patterson could be the primary backup PF next season.

    Be patient.

OK, maybe not cut him, but at least bench his sorry self. If he would have made all the blown lay-ups he missed the Rockets would have won by at least 6. Give me PatPat right now over Jeffries' "defense".

Which guy is going to get better with each game?

Which guy is going to be here next year?

Yeah, I would say we should play Patterson more than Jeffries.

I don't see Jeffries with an extended future here. I want to see what potential Patterson has, even though he may not look great at the begin of the season, but he might develop into something, unless he doesn't get any playing time.

Jeffries is one of the best and most versatile defenders in the whole league. Even though he is way overpaid, he didn't get this big contract just for missing layups. That said, he and Chuck Hayes are kinda redundant.

I like Patterson a lot. But he still has a lot to learn. I am pretty sure the coach trusts Jeffries more at this point.

My vote is obvious.. but it wouldn't be a question if Chuck wasn't injured.

Looks like right now the vote is in favor of Patterson. Looks like common sense is still on this board.
