Exactly, folks are not understanding that they targeted curry 1) to force him to play defense to tire him out to make it difficult to for him to play offense. 2) get him switched onto Lebron or irving one on one where Cavs have the favored match-up. Even if Curry is matched up against JR, they will still go up against Curry just to tire him out. 3) mentally break Curry. Curry being overmatched by the mismatches eventually took it's toll on Curry and forced him into some bad mistakes. I commend Cavs for being that disciplined to keep at it. It's not often you see guards setting screens on the perimeter for the big man. Do I think Curry is an elite defender? No Can he hold his own? yes for the most part Anyone would eventually get broken down if they had to guard the likes of Lebron and Irving play after play after play. It's like Ramsay Bolton versus Theon. hahaha
He's a terrible defender. People were blinded by his 3 point shooting and the Warriors winning. He couldn't be touched with criticism. I guess everything changes when you lose.

terrible video. Guarding Lebron etc getting caught by a screen isn't the same as harden standing there swatting his hand down 3 seconds after the defender tip toes past his ******
Lol, your bum boy Curry is a garbage defender & I know it hurts. Cavs literally just won a Championship targeting him every game. You can't do that to Harden.
Terrible response. This thread is not about comparing Curry's defense to Harden's, you brought up that subject, not me. The point was to make known that Curry's defense was inexcusably bad in the Finals. There were countless incidences where Curry didn't fight through the screens, let his man blow by with little to no resistance, and constantly got backdoor cut, all of which Harden regularly gets roasted for. In fact, Curry was much worse than Harden in some sense, which I will explain below. Not really. Curry's defense was deliberately exploited because he is such a weak 1-on-1 defender, but Harden's main problem is with his team defense, not 1-on-1. When Harden is guarding someone individually facing up, he is not a defensive liability. I wouldn't call him a good defender, but he's serviceable enough in that situation. Pretty much all of the 'lowlights' of Harden's defense consist of him lacking defensive awareness in switching and rotating on defense, which he needs to get better at. But the Cavs didn't take advantage of Curry inability to play team defense, LeBron and Kyrie basically torched Curry the whole series by constantly targeting him with ISOs, because they know he can't contain anybody when left alone.
