eh, no biggie. Those only make you....umm....big.

Atleast there's a better chance we won't win back the Title of Fattest City in the USA next year.

Now it's time for McDonalds to skip town.

krispy kreme has the best glazed donuts. End of Discussion.

    Shipley blows,
Dunkin Donuts used to be good.

Krispy Kreme was on a whole nother level. I rarely saw any in Houston anyways.

I haven't seen any Krispy Kremes in the NW side, but I used to eat there all the time when I worked in downtown over the summer. I'm grossly underweight, so I think I'm entitled to my freakin' donuts

In Houston, this is true... but in the deep South, as in FL and AL... the Double K is the best...

They taste better at a Krispy Kreme that was built in the late 50's too.

    Shipley's in Dallas is nasty.

The best Shipley's (IMO) is the one just west of I-45 on North Main St. (corner of Walton?) My grandma used to live over there. ;)

No one in Houston should be complaining. You guys have Shipleys. No Shipleys in Austin. The closest store is all the way in San Marcos.

Always preferred Shipley's to Krispy Kreme. Kreme always piled on what seemed like a pound of glaze on each donut. Made them WAY to sweet for me. I like to taste the actual donut.

Plus, Shipley's kolaches aren't too bad. Nowhere near Kolache Factory, but respectable.

I understand what Lone Star is feeling and think that they are right to break it off - but Jumble's donuts and Coffee house? What the hell kind of name is that?

Maybe they'll try and brand it like Jumble's Donuts and Coffee House.

I don't know, it just doesn't seem like the best name.

I assume a similar situation caused the Dairy Kings you see around here?

Much agreed. I used to live right down the street. The only thing that sucked is that they only took cash.

KK is waaaaayyyy too sweet. Shipley's is by far a better doughnut that doesn't have to rely on extra sugar to get its taste.

KK is having all kinds of troubles with franchisees, apparently. Their stock has plummeted. I believe there was some "cook the book" concerns there.

KK will be back in the Houston market. Give it a year.
