I'd love to have Rondo on the Rockets, but I just think he and Harden would not get along....

Like I posted once before, it comes down to Morey's priorities:

    1) Best fit
    2) Best player
    3) best asset

And the answer to this depends on what further moves/needs he is considering in the near term.

Great article as usual. I'd love to hear a podcast post trade to see how the trade ends up effecting Houston in the short-term, long-term, cap situation, etc.

    I like the MKG trade.

If Minny keeps floundering, him + picks + obviously contract fillers, MIGHT be enough to pry away Love.

Minny has no use for a center, and I think Hawes (though a good fit) is being massively overrated if it is a 1 for 1 for Asik.

i think harden respects players that have been there and done that.

he surely respected KD, westbrook. i think he'd respect rondo.

dude do you see how love is playing?

he his arguably the best PF in the game right now...teams will give ALOT more than we ever could..unless we want to start by giving up parsons.

Liked it. I think you're close.

Lots of synergy between Charlotte-Cleveland-Chicago with the picks and race to the playoffs/lottery.

Yeah, i think Hawes makes perfect sense here, but i think Morey will want more, otherwise, you're not getting anything for Asik, but a rental. I dont think Hinkie is ready to give up more than Hawes, so I'd agree Charlotte is likely to get Asik.

The Bobcats should be the victim. Right up Morey's alley.

    This.

I'd give up future picks, in addition to Lin/Asik/Parsons if that brought in Love, but arguably, even that wouldn't be enough.

    Rockets trade: Asik, Smith, Covington
    Rockets receive: MKG, Biyombo, Hawes

    76ers trade: Hawes, Turner, Richardson
    76ers receive: Gordon, Sessions, Smith

Bobcats trade: MKG, Biyombo, Gordon, Sessions
Bobcats receive: Asik, Turner, Richardson, Covington

Rockets get a wing defender, a back up center, and a big who can play next to Howard as a stretch 4

76ers get rid of Richardsons unwanted contract and get expirings

Bobcats go into win now mode by getting a post defense presence in Asik to pair with Big Al and a wing scorer in Turner

Excellent article! Good points, I didnt think about the 2015 FA class, so I was high on Jeff Green but now I am second guessing myself.

I also agree with the Charlotte trade. Does anyone really see Utah taking a swing for Asik and possibly giving up Kanter?

Great article Clutch! Great points about the Bobcats and their urgency to make moves.

Maybe the Rockets can squeeze MKG, 2014 1st (the Detroit pick) and Ben Gordon (salary match) out of the Bobcats. :)

No way Philly does that. Give up Hawes and Turner without really getting anything back.

If Bobcats through in 1 or 2 of those 2014 1st round picks, Hinkie would do it.
