Having thought about Gasol I could see us offering Scola, Morris, Thabeet and Drajic. Maybe also NY's 2012 first round pick. Probably about works out from a $ standpoint also. But no Martin. No PPat. No Dmo. No Lowrey.

Having said that it makes no sense for LA to be able to trade Gasol straight up for Paul. Something else has to be coming out of the LA organization.

Lowrey/Martin/Bud/PPat/Gasol - still not there unless we sign Dal or Nene.

Lowrey/Martin/Bud/Gasol/Nene - now that is a lineup I could get excited about.

 

I would prefer to have Bynum than Gasol, more potential but also a headcase.

 

So we basically hand CP3 over to the Lakers and essentially give them Howard as well since Bynum stays?

Still, if Gasol does net LA Paul, then you have to admit they got the better end (twice).

There's no guarantee Howard goes there, I know it seems Likely but you never know.

I doubt it will be Gasol for Paul (ignoring Rockets for now), they probably have to give up another piece.

And the Grizzlies trade was win-win. Imagine where the grizz would be if they didn't make that trade.

 

If those are our picks then we're getting swindled.
