[Movie] Captain America 3

Like I mentioned in the other thread, even though Marvel is just now officially announcing the movie plans, they've had a Marvel movie TBD scheduled for May 6, 2016 before DC decided to release their movie on the same day.

 

Marvel has already proven themselves with all these great superhero movies. My bet is that it will be DC who will change their release date. They can't afford a flop especially with the failed superman movies over the years.

 

Batman and Superman in the same movie sounds so corny. I hope Captain America 3 crushes it.

 

Damn I haven't even seen the second.

I hope there's a cameo by some of the other big guns avengers in the 3rd.

Hope Captain America three is just as good, don't end on a semi bad note like spiderman 3

 

I've seen most of the info about Hulk 5. But have you heard any casting rumors etc. on Hulk 6 ??

 

They literally have plans drawn up for Marvel movies into 2028.

 

Marvel fanboy? Come on, its the two biggest heroes in the world, and two of the most recognizable icons in cinema.

Anyways, cap 2 was a very well made movie. Lookin forward to Cap 3

In what way would it be remotely corny?

 

The fact that Captain America has done so well proves that you don't need an internationally recognised character to get a box office hit. Internationally, millions and millions of people had never heard of Captain America, or even Iron Man, but the movies themselves were good enough to draw in the crowds.

I just hope that DC realises they can't just rely on the name-fame of Batman and Superman, push them into 1 film, and then forget about the plot and pacing.

Also, they don't have to compete head to head, e.g. X-Men Days of Future Past coming out.

 

You don't think Marvel comics characters are internationally known? I think you're confused, you realize they read comics in countries other than the US right?

Batman and/or Superman were in 6 of the top 10 comic books sold in the last decade. So while Marvel wins overall due to a variety of popular characters, Batman and Superman are probably still the most popular two characters with the masses. Captain America is not in the same league as Superman and Batman in name recognition even though the movies have probably closed the gap a lot.

P.S. I grew up on Marvel.

 

That wasn't my original point personally (I know you were talking to the other guy), the point was that gentleman said they weren't internationally recognized which is completely incorrect. Any top tier comic character is internationally known at this point. They were well known before any of the movies.

 

I might like a movie or two, but... I'm not that much into comics. I might not even be half the nerds y'all are.
