The Warriors' massive and quick improvement after dumping Mark Jackson leads me to believe this was a no-brainer move by OKC.

Horrible move. They are going to lose Durant for sure.

This is nothing like GS. When has OKC underachieved? They went to the finals a few years ago and would have gone to the finals last season if Ibaka didn't get hurt.

So the new OKC coach will magically heal KD's foot?

Interesting move, I thought he was a good coach, perhaps I am wrong, since I thought Jackson was also a good coach.

It's not an exact parallel but the point was they were a good team that was (arguably) being held back by a bad coach. OKC fans tell me that (plus the injuries, obviously) is what is holding back OKC.

They trade away Harden after making the finals

They lose Westbrook 3 seasons ago

    Lose Ibaka last season

    Lose both Ibaka and KD

    How is this Brooks fault?

This is my perspective: from what I've heard from OKC fans, this was bound to happen soon and is well-deserved. Obviously no one blames Brooks for the injuries but there were OKC fans who felt he wasn't the best coach.

I'm not saying this means they'll be in the Finals next year, but if Brooks really was on the hot seat all season (and it appears he was) then I'm not surprised.

I'm not saying I think it's a great move, but given that he was on the hot seat all year I'm not surprised to see it happen. I never said the injuries were Brooks' fault...

Brooks is a decent coach. I expect Thibodeau to take his job, which would be a great move for the Thunder.

Who can they sign to be coach?

    A Pop disciple?

    Who is even out there?

Durant is definitely leaving unless they can get someone established like Thibs.

It was quite obvious that he was on the way out. It's not his fault that Durant and Ibaka got injured.
