    Considering Wes Matthews is out at the moment and Aldridge isn't playing remotely as well as he did against 2014 Asik and TJ, it isn't really fair to compare the two.

    Plus, the Grizzlies came into this series with 55 season wins (one game short of second best record in the West). Whereas the Blazers are good for only 7th best in the conference (just one game ahead of the hopelessly dreadful Mavericks). Portland were lucky to secure a Division title considering their less than perfect performance throughout the season.

    I think we can hold our heads high with being (literally) inches away from taking the Blazers to 7 last year. Just shows that we're rapidly improving and becoming more and more competitive each season.

    I think that the grizzlies get respect from the refs most of the time. Our guys have been in the league long enough that they are going to let us do what we do.

    Of course the nba front office aren't going to give the grizzlies a break going against gs (see: zach being suspended for game 7 last year against the thunder), but for the most part the refs (I believe) are more than fair with the grizzlies.
