    Who guards Nowitzski?

Screw matchups I love that this is preseason and Mchale is going to go for it against the ultimate stretch 4. No time like the present lets do it !!

For those scoring at home check out how nasty we are on defense vs. jones casspi and dmo ..and also note how we still get scoring from Lin Parsons Howard and Harden with Asik in game.

    Our Best lineup
    Asik
    Howard
    Parsons
    Harden
    Lin

Asik is probably not mobile enough to guard Dirk, and we lose Dwight's shotblocking presence if we put him on Dirk.

Would interesting to see how the defense works out.

Excited and afraid at the same time. Want it to work so bad so Asik can be convinced to embrace his new role. Also anticipating that they might be off to an ugly bumpy start running into each other clogging the paint for James and Jeremy.

What do you mean by "work"? Does it have to mean the best lineup for the team? Or just not a disaster for 10 minutes a game or so?

I think the line up will do fine-- well above the average of NBA lineups. May not be as effective as the "small ball" lineup though with more shooting and not as much defense and beef. Guess we will see soon.

For reference, the Rockets outscored opponents by roughly 6.5 points per 48 minutes last season in the 228 minutes in which Asik and Greg Smith played together. They can do the same or better in the long run with Asik and Howard.

Howard will be in foul trouble if he guards Dirk.

Disaster. This lineup may work only against Spurs and Blazers.

IMO this needs to be the starting lineup for the last pre-season games. Need to see how it will work.

Its interesting that we're rolling this out against the Mavericks, of all teams. It will certainly be a good test.

Asik looked really good defending the perimeter last season. It's going to be fun as hell.

i think chandler gets dirk and asik matches up with the sleeping bear, leaving marion v dwight. if marion wants to shoot 14 threes, i doubt he will connect on more than 5
