I'm not even kidding either. I think she might be one of the best assistants in the league right now. Who wouldn't want to play for Becky Hammon.

the fact that she was an assistant for the spurs for one. for 2, she has a great approach to teaching the game from what I've seen. She's been a point guard for 20 years at a high level. She defended chris paul when he criticised the female official, she knows how to shoot and teach shooting, which is what the grizzlies need. She made a made for herself in the wnba as one of the greatest player despite not being drafted (worth ethic)?

you want me to go on? Becky Hammon is elite in every respect imaginable.

Most random thread ever. I wonder if we will be alive to see player coach sex scandals in the NBA.

I think your comment is more random than my thread. Player/coach sex scandals?

Are you saying you think a female coach can't be a head coach without wanting to bed one of her players? If not, then what are you saying exactly?

also, how many men head coaches have their been that had sexual relations with their players, is that okay? but woe be unto the woman head coach because she might get into a relationship with a player, lol

Ah, ok. That is interesting. But wanting Becky to coach your team after Joerger has done a pretty good job is silly. Don't you think? If it weren't for a PG injury, Memphis might have been in the WCF.

I have never liked dave joerger as a head coach, i think he took far too much credit for orchestrating a defense that was mostly hollins' sheme and doing and he is wasting year after year with the talent we have because the organization thinks he is better than he is.

I mean joerger is not terrible but he has done very little in memphis to move the team toward a championship.

It's absolutely not ridiculous to imagine her getting a shot sometime in the future.

Now what do you know about every OTHER assistant in the league.
To say she's THE BEST without that knowledge is a big hyperbole
I think Sam Cassell maybe one of the best assistance in the league

Sam has excellent approach to the game. . . his influence took the Clippers out of HELL into contenders [ check when he played for them ]
He knows how to shot and work the mid range game . . . . He made himself into a very good point guard

I never said she was the best. And I'm sure many people suggest head coaches without knowing EVERY OTHER coach in the league beforehand. LOL, I doubt you'd have criticized me the same way if I said Jay Larranaga or somebody.

Hammon might be a good coach, but it's way too early for any team's FO to consider her for a head coaching position.

She barely has experience being on the lowest rung of the ladder, much less at the top.
