Well it's a rematch of last year's Eastern Conference Finals. I personally think the Heat will win the series in 6or 7 games. I think it will be close like the Cavs-Pistons series was.

Nah i gotta go with Detroit in Six, although Wade scares me. If Detroit can actually make their shots they should be able to take it out.

I really believe if Wade had been healthy last time, Miami would have found a way to win. This year, the Heat are deeper,Wade is healthy, and Detroit is not the same team.
    Heat in 5 or 6

If you had've asked me (or anyone for that matter) who would win this match up, before the playoffs started, then it would have been detroit hands down.

But detroit are not playing on the same level that they were in the regular season.
The cavs took them to 7 games.

Now you can say 'oh but when the pistons want to win, they will. look at the defense they played on cleveland in the second half of game 7'. But thats bull. The cavs have, what, ONE offensive threat? The Heat have A LOT more guys who can score.

Unless i see a major improvement on the Pistons, i see the Heat taking this series in 6.

Which upsets me a little because then Kobe haters can say that shaq has reached the finals without kobe - has kobe reached the finals without shaq? lol

Miami in the Finals would be something different but I don't see Detroit getting beat.

They flick the switch on and the other team crumbles before their D.

Let's just fast forward to G7 in the ECF and get it over and done with.

    Pistons in 7.

    :D

Hopefully the Pistons in 7, probably the Heat in 6...

Detroit likely plays down to its competition... and at the same time, they'll be sky-high pumped for these games against the Heat.

Miami has shown that they can win on the road in this playoffs... but they've also shown that they can lose at home. Miami needs to find a way to go up 2-1 after game 3... with some combination of home wins and road wins. If they can find a way to do that, they'll likely pull it out... but I don't see them winning the series if they drop both games in Detroit, or Detroit manages to win a game in Miami.

FINALLY! The playoff series I have been looking forward to ever since knowing that the Rockets won't be in the playoffs. Whoo! That was a close call with Cleveland, thank God Detroit made it.

Detroit vs Miami...should be one for the ages.

But it probably won't be even as memorable as last year... which was forgotten as soon as game 1 of the NBA Finals started (if anybody was even watching that).

Boring. Well, I hope Miami wins even though it will only increase the silly Wade-worship.

uh, Shaq doesn't need this series to prove that. He did in Orlando.

I meant on Shaq's end. I will always remember it along with most everybody here.

I think that the NBA finals are over tonight after the game between Spurs and Mavericks.

For Heat, Walker has been the difference in the last two rounds. Somehow he was able to make the 3s at decent clips, and was also able to get inside the paint for some weak finger roll that worked.

i know you meant on shaq's end. that's why it's surprising to me that people (on a Rockets board) would forget that Shaq was in the Finals w/o Kobe.
