Tom Thibodeau is a piece of crap, he has destroyed the health of every star players he has ever coached because of his 2/day bull****. I remember watching a Rockets practice session back when they played at the westside tennis club and Francis and Yao were still young, this M-F had them running wind sprints up and down the court for 20 minutes at a time and one spring for each time they missed an open shot. He's a piece of solid ****.

Hope he never comes back to this team.

Interesting timing with this story (see Knicks 'strife builds' thread).

Judging from how this is playing out I'd say it's:

    New York gets:

    Gibson ($8MM @ 3 yrs)
Butler ($2MM and $3MM QO next year)
    Brook Lopez ($15.7MM @ 2 yrs)
    Bulls Picks

    Brooklyn gets:

    J.R. Smith ($6MM @ 2 yrs)
    Dunleavy ($3.3MM expiring)
    T. Snell ($1.5MM @ 2 yrs)
    Cash from Bulls

    Chicago gets:

    Melo ($22.5MM @ 5 yrs)
    Shumpert ($2.6MM expiring)
    Nets 2nd rounder

    Something like that would work.

I can't see how Bulls gets better(Butler is a keeper). Also Nets gets Snell (ok young player),dunleavy (ok) and JR ( I would not want him anywhere near my team). I know Lopez is injury prone but NO. Doesn't seem fair.

No, he ruins star players with his college style of coaching an 82 game NBA season. Think about the players who have no career now because of him, Yao, Francis, Rose, etc. Who is next? Why is this guy even allowed to coach anymore?

So that was how many years ago, and you say he hasn't changed his ways?

If Rose is the only one injured, why blame the coach? Blame Rose's style of play.

Rose wasn't the only one injured. He shortened Yao and Francis career's too.

He needs to go back to coaching college.

Rose got injured due to his jerky style of play that creates lots of stress on his knees.

Yao got injured due to his body unable to support basketball grind.

Francis... love him to bits. But he is no longer focus on basketball and he got fat.

My question was sarcasm, but i'm not really a fan of how he turns his players into dust (Deng is the same, and another 3 years Butler will be too)

Yao playing year round ruined his career.

He coached Francis, what one season? Plus his style of play relied too much on his athleticism and after a few injuries it's not surprising he was never the same because he wasn't a smart player.

Not a big this fan but he didn't ruin careers. I just think he coaches one side of the ball and his regular season success is inflated because he gets his teams to play playoff style basketball during the regular season.

I don't see how Taj/Noah and Thibs actually disagree.

Thibs just doesn't want his players voicing their opinions to the media and he especially does not like any excuses.

Gibson and Thibs will be fine......
